So being thrifty and all I am thinking way ahead of time. I am not pregnant yet but want to be in the near future. I want to start collecting some diapers (I know I will have my likes and dislikes) but have no idea what a good price would be??? For example what would a good price be per diaper? Like if I were to go to costco or somewhere and buy a case what would the price be per diaper? I just don't know if when I see a sale if it is a good deal or not. Does this make sense. Like tonight at riteaid they had their brand of mega pack 88 for $7.99 after rebate is that good for generic? How about price per premium brand like luvs, pampers, huggies??? Can anyone clue me in? Thanks

Stephanie Brown

I don't know price per diaper, but I did try generic and they were a headache. My babes leaked through, and they didn't refasten after checking diaper. Everybody is different, you might like another brand, but I always went back to Luvs.

3 . "I really like the CVS brand, they are similar to huggies and go on sale for $8..99 for 2 jumbo every couple of months. "

Also keep an eye open for great deals like my TOPS grocery store had pampers for $4.74 for the jumbo there was a limit of 3, but combine this with coupons and it was a steal. This was the first time I have ever seen a deal like this.

Also, CVS if you have the card will sometimes give you bonus bucks and the last time I purchased 4 packs of the buy 1 get 1 diapers, I got a coupon for a free jumbo pack!

And he drank alot so I switched to Luvs because he would soak through the store brand at night. Not sure about good prices now. it's been 5 years since I bought diapers.

5 . "I only use Huggies or Papmpers"

because everything else leaked on my son (he can fill a diaper).

Every 4-6 weeks Eckerd will put one or the other on sale for 7.99 abag and then with coupons the price is not bad. Target will also put them on 7.88-8.00 sales about every 3 months. Walgreens will put them on sale for 7.99-8.50 with one of their in store coupons out at that same time, so with my manuf. coupons too it is a GREAT deal.

Babies R Us will let you use their coupon and a manuf. coupon together, so that can be a good deal.

Grocery and dollar (family, general) stores will clearance regular diapers if they are not selling well or if the design on the bag changes. My family dollar marks down papmers on a regular basis to 4.99 a bag plus my manuf. coupon..... (I buy everything in his size)

Good luck.

Marsha

Pampers doesn't gather at the back to "hug" him so little Junior has been having diaper blowouts. I tried the Walmart brand, thinking that it would be like the kind I used to get at Sam's Club when I had my first child, but they just weren't good enough for overnight. They were fine during the day. Huggies are the only ones I have found that keep him dry (not to mention my bed!!!) overnight.

We have been using the cheap Walmart brand during the day and the Huggies at night. So maybe you should mix and match????

and could wear pampers brand and white cloud brand (i think that's still walmart's brand) diapers BUT for his big boy pants he's allergic to pampers brand easy ups and not huggies pull ups. *shrug* go figure! we did try publix brand pull ups and after wearing ONE he brokle out in a HUGE from front to bak rash. poor little guy, he was red for 2 days! so i'd suggest a variation of brands...... then if you can, take back what you can't use OR donate them to a needy family. hth

I tried Luvs and the generic brands, but my daughter was allergic to them too. So my favorite it the huggies, regulary they are $9.99 for a jumbo, on sale they are $8.99 sometimes $7.99. Then of corse I always have a coupon!! I went up to buying the box of diapers , they r cheaper in long run. $29.99 for about 100 diapers of huggies. Walmart has them or toys r us. http://clairwood.com coupons & Forms
