I live in FL and my grandsonbs live in OH so we don't see each other a lot

I use a subscription program called KIWI crates which sends them a crate each month with projects to do. I am currently using the science and engineering one.

I used to send them magazine subscriptions but they got over that......HA!!

I saw an ad on TV yesterday for Little Passports which I will check out today

does anybody use any sort of subscription like this to send continuous stuff to people far away What do you use and what do you like?

They are currently 13, 9 and 7. The 13yo and the 7yo are wild for phone games. The 9yo has a problem called low vision and cannot play on the phone but has so many different experiences with his vision that it is hard to find things for him

thanks

Their Mom is a lovely person but not into STEM things and my son works 60+ hours a week driving a big rig so he doesn't have the time to know this stuff.

They were here in June and we talked about it but I did not know what was out there to offer them. The magazines were great for years, things like Smithsonian Kids and Ranger Rick and National Geographic kids but, like I said, they got over it.

the 9yo just started at Ohio School for the Blind and I asked my daughter in law to pick their brains for stuff for him to do.

call the school yourself and talk to a counselor or social worker and just have a general conversation about what are useful things for a child that age with low vision? Or get your daughter-in-law or son to authorize the school to talk to you about your grandchild specifically?

Cheryl's Cookies has a cookie card for $5. You pick the kind of cookie and the occasion. It's just one cookie not a whole order of them.

Or what about letting them pick something off of Amazon up to a certain dollar amount, say 20 bucks. That may draw them into some conversation about what they want and what they plan to do with it.
