was it a clot and did they fix it? My 70yo friend just recently had a stroke that was a bleed, they're not fixable

4 . "Yes a clot was seen on her CT scan last night. So they’ve been giving her clot-busting drugs. She’s feeling better/stronger but they want to do an MRI before they release her."

sue. just read post. praying for your daughter and you. so sorry this happened to her.

my son bryan_ had a stroke in 2000. he was only 24 years old. he had heart problems and had to have a pacemaker. he is now 45 years old. all in all hes ok. i know in my heart things will work out in a good way for your daughter.

praying for you and your daughter.

my so had a stroke at age 24. he had heart problems and ended up getting a pacemaker.
all in all he has lived a great full life.
he just turned 45 in july.

God work miracles and i'm praying for your daughter to be blessed with one.

and, being a retired ER RN, I think it was due to the awesome and fast medical staff in the ER who diagnosed and fixed the problem immediately. When we had a patient with a stroke or heart attack, we had 20 minutes to get them admitted, diagnosed and fixed. You had a great medical staff

hopefully they can or she'll worry about it forever. My neighbor had a stroke at age 43 from birth control pills

start writing your questions down now and bring them to the doctor and make sure he answers everyone!!

21 . "My daughter continues to do well thank God. She has an appointment with her PCP next Tuesday morning. Thank you again for all the prayers!! This is off the topic of her stroke, but I was wondering if anyone here has a condition called alopecia? It’s an autoimmune disease where you lose your hair and I didn’t realize how bad my daughters condition is! Her hair comes out in fist-fulls when she brushes or combs it! I was shocked! Just wondering if there’s anything she can do for it at home as the medication she’s on is definitely not working!!"

I'm still wondering why she had a stroke (that's what happens when you're a retired RN) - you said she had a gastric bypass? What was her weight and what is it now?

Alopecia - one of the kids in our kids group had alopecia - never found anything that helped
