Our state (Florida) has been maskless and our kids have been in school since August
I went to the supermarket yesterday and to an orchid club meeting and it was hysterical to see so many people wearing masks.
have you all read the recently discovered Fauci emails? Where he has said for almost a year that masks do not stop this virus!!~!

I wouldn't call it hysterical as everybody can do what they want. It wasn't just in Dr. F's emails. He actually said it out loud-----that masks would not help but then as in many other subjects he flip flopped, saying that he wanted to save the medical masks for the pros.
Whether or not it was because of the masks or other behaviors like hand washing and distancing, but there were far fewer colds and cases of the flu this year.

Seems like every time I come to RS I see political rants. You seem to have very strong opinions and a need to share them. I've noticed some refunders agree with you. Several used to send me conspiracy theory type posts and when I asked why they believed these things , they said "it just sounds so true". In other words, people believe what they ar e predisposed to believe..... You are not going to change anyone's mind and no one replying to you is going to persuade you to give up your beliefs. But why bring them here? Don't you get enough venting at yr orchid club and other social get-togethers? I think , for the most part, you are just irritating people here. I have a suggestion----- start a group of people who agree with you and you can email each other and rant all day and agree with each other and validate each other's beliefs. You wont' be here irritating those who dont' believe as you do and those who don't think this belongs here. Everyone will be happy. Consequently, you'll help make the world a better place.

As a person that had covid. I will will use mine if I feel the need too. Even if they say we dont need them. I have lost friends and family. I have never been so sick. I was lucky I went to hospital at the first sigh of problems. I really dont think it's about politics. Its about safety. Seems to me if people want too keep using them. It's up to them.

my 68yo friend got Covid way back in the beginning when nobody had a clue and had fluid in her lungs and around her heart and will have problems forever
Blame China
Masks don't work, never have, never will unless you wear a properly fitted N95 like we had at work.....and they were refitted about 4-5 times a day. What works? Wash your hands and don't touch your face
There was a teenage kid at the beach yesterday wearing a mask while swimming???

he has proven for almost 18 months now that masks do nothing - the government was so scared they forced this on everyone - so sad for young children that cannot see facial expressions
