I can only tell you what goes on here in the Florida Keys where all cancer treatment is done on the mainland

there are multiple FB pages where people help other people with everything from food and transportation to dog walking and house cleaning. there is also nextdoor.com

Is he on Medicare? We have 2 local community centers which help people with medical stuff like walkers and canes and commodes although Medicare supplies that all for free - if you need it, ask your doctor for a prescription for a hospital bed, which Medicare will cover as long as you have a need. Will be so much easier for moving around and getting in and out as the effects take hold. Get everything Medicare will give you for free and then donate it when you're done.

When my Dad had cancer, all treatment was at the VA and the VA provided a bus to transport him back and forth. We also called the local Social Services and they provided him with a nurse 2x a week and an aide 3x a week (for free). He had colon cancer involving a colostomy bag and that may have made him more "in need" of an RN. I went to talk to the local VA and social services people and they had SS make him "more" disabled and therefore he got more money each month.

Try medical marijuana - it really helps with the nausea

They can tell you who can help you. Every state and county and hospital and Dr. is different. The American Cancer Society can help I am sure. I got my wigs from them when I had chemo. Look them up in your phone book.
