It raining so can not get out today. So the floors are getting moped and the cats toys are getting picke up and put in there box. I ordered from chewy.com and they are backed up by several days ago. My order did not go out until today. The stores are out of pet food. Went to dollar general and the shelves were empty, no milk, bread, snacks. Even the freezers were empty and no paper products. Like many other stores they are cutting hours. The first 2 hours are for seniors to shop. Alot of good that does if they have nothing to buy. Maybe I will take a walk Thursday, the weatherman says rain off and on for several days. Spring is to come in a few days. The flowers beat the spring the are already in bloom. Last week i heard the sirens off and on all day for several days. Ems was sure busy. The last 2 days its quiet. I am glad that no one is hurt or sick, but its scary. It,s to quiet. Fairborn is make up of 70% seniors and retired military from the base. I live 1/2 mile from the Wright Pat Air Force Base. I sometimes can hear the loud speaker from the base even that quiet.
Here is the latest here
Governors call up the National Guard to battle Coronavirus
All 50 of the nation's Governors have declared emergencies in their states and now many are starting to activate their Air and Army National Guard to help deal with the growing coronavirus pandemic.
Governors across 22 states have mobilized components of the Army and Air National Guard to assist in their state’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Over 1,500 Guardsmen have been called up to State Active Duty status, with more states expected to activate additional Guard resources as the novel coronavirus continues to spread.

All 50 states have issued emergency declarations, a critical step before mobilizing National Guard resources.

Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Montana, New Jersey, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin have all activated Guard components.

Puerto Rico is the first and only U.S. territory to also activate Guardsmen thus far.

A lot of us are seniors on the boards, hope you are all are well and stay safe. If anyone needs .to talk do not be afraid. We are hear to listen. Sometimes we all need someone to talk to.

Bless you all and stay safe and well.

Have a great day Gloria

I have been wandering around talking to my plants.(LOL) I am organized and the house is clean. I have been thanking God and praying for others. I think I need something else to do just not sure what that is.

I know it's to help this terrible virus end but it sure is hard. I'm sick of cleaning, watching TV and reading.I just want things back like they use to be.

6 . "Not bored at all........"

I have been retired 13 years so am used to being at home - I read, walk every morning, garden (I live in SE FL), watch TV, play computer games.....I have never been a shopper so no shopping doesn't bother me - I cook dinner every night - am digging through the hundreds of recipes I have printed out over the years and playing around with them.....many of our local restaurants are giving away free food so we go somewhere every day for lunch (which we either bring home to eat or join with a few friends)...I totally tore out my back garden (maybe 50' long) and we took a machete to the death plant (Spanish Bayonet) and I have worked out there. It is 85 every day so I cannot work more than maybe a half hour at a time but I still try. It is the time of the year that the mahogany trees lose their leaves so I have a mess everywhere!! Went to the nursery yesterday, browsed around for about an hour, played with their dog and bunny (the chickens ran away from me), bought a purslane and a tabuchina.....planted one yesterday, will do the other in about an hour (after my pain pills kick in)

10 . "Don't think I have ever been bored ..."

I have worked and raised kids for 30+ years. My house has never been caught up and still is not - I love to paint rocks and see all the other rocks that are being painted in the rock groups. I also bird watch and have 6 feeders going. I love spring and potting new flowers. I left work on March 24th and don't go out except to the grocery and a couple of times to bird watch at the nearby lake. I am content at home with my husband and 23 yr. old son here.

more like overwhelmed or wondering where to fidn time to do all I still w ant to do in life... It saddens me to think of all the books I will not have a chance to read in my lifetime .... and all the wonderful recipes I will probably not ever discover or happen across. My email had a recipe for a lemon cake that sounds out of this world--- while baking, it settles into 3 distinct layers-- sponge, custard and cakeish.... Now I wish I had access to an experienced baker (like my dil's mother) who can advise on adjusting the milk for a lactose intolerant person
