I got my email today with the egiftcard that i won in the Burger King stranger things sweepstakes. I went to use it and it was declined. Cashier tried 3 different times and it kept saying the same thing. Called customer service from the phone number on the card and they know nothing to help you. Said they would have to get back to me. According to my card it expires 12/5/19, so not much time to use and now it's going to be shorter. Just wanted to give everyone a warning before you go to use it. If it shows up as an error on the Burger King website when you go to check your balance, then you're more than likely going to have problems with it when trying to use it. Both mine and another family members did. But on a good note, i won $60, if i can just ever use it, lol.

We didn't get anything. Two of us had the app and they loaded them to it and the local store wouldn't allow redemption because the system wasn't working properly. So a total loss for both hubby and I. My son requested by gift card and he never even opened the app. He received nothing.... what a waste of time that contest was. Congrats to all that got something, hope you are able to eventually use them.

It was the first time anyone at BK had seen one, but they figured it out quickly. They hit the 'gift card' button on the register and then input the g/c number.

Remember that these promotional gift cards expire 12/5/19.

My family has won considerably more than we can use before they expire.
Now I can't take credit for this idea, I found it on another board.
However, you can use your paper certificate to purchase physical
gift cards in a BK. I was able to purchase 2 so far and had no problem
doing this. Your mileage may vary depending on your local restaurants.

Anyway, a possible solution in case your family members have won more than
they can use before they promotional gift cards expire.

We won 23 items. It seems like BK does not want to honor all the winners. We contacted Coke and they referred to BK, we contact BK and after 3-4 back and forth emails they finally gave us a phone number and that call was answered by someone who appeared to be under the influence of something. They took our information and said we'd hear from someone by phone or email. Nothing yet.

Your previous post in this thread states yours were being mailed to you.
I think they changed things mid stream and now they re mailing gift certificates
to everyone instead of using snail mail.

and went there and was asked for name and address. We gave address and name for all 23 items. Some said you are signed up and some gave other messages. Those are posted above also. We never got a link to a BK reward because we chose the reward by mail option shown in the rules. We could not download their app.

Instead of mailing coupons or a gift card to your home.
They emailed the gift certificate to the email you
have on file with Coke.

The email referenced Stranger Things is the subject line.

the contest ended July 27th. All Coke emails have been looked at as far as "subject" and then deleted. We don't play instant win games for a chance to win a free 20 ounce Coke. So, in our Coke email account I think we can recover deleted messages going back into early September maybe late August.

If the email about the method of getting the gift certificate came before around late August then we got it and deleted it though we would have noted the subject matter or we never got it at all.
We sent a message to Coke and BK and supposedly BK are going to try to resolve it and that phone call was Oct. 15.

We were able to go back into August and see deleted Coke messages. None contained Stranger Things only weekly prizes, free code, etc.

So if medium fries, small cone and small drink were on the dollar menu (we got 23 of the following messages) so it's maybe $23 in merchandise from BK. Oh well. I never saw an email about stranger things.

Sent a letter to BK HQ attention the promotion department. We sent a copy of all 23 emails received from Coke stating the reward. We told them we never got a Stranger Things email and never knew of the changes in the way GC would be sent instead of US Postal Service. Until someone on RS was kind enough to inform us though it was weeks after the fact. If all items were on the $1 menu we'd expect a $23 gift card. Or they may laugh and throw our letter away. This was another Coke Reward promotion that was not user friendly the way it was done. Rules given and then changed and reliance on some persons or computer to send out the rule changes, etc.
