The senior center here in my city called the police on me because I made a appointment, I called back and cancelled the appointment and went shopping to day, when I got back home the police had broken into my house and they decided my house was not up to their standards so I have to live someplace else after 5.P.M. and on weekends. The city wants me to get rid of some of my indoor cats not my outdoor cat and clean the house up a bit. They told me put my indoor cats outside. I have no money and no family so have no place to go. However I was told that if the police found me here I would be arrested if I was here after 5.Pm.
Right now I am felling very down and very upset about the whole thing. The senior center said they called the police to make sure I was not dead. They sure caused enough problems. Everything is a mess.


I will not be online or makeing any trades for a while.

This city has a program and paid for a plumber to come and clean all the water pipes in my house. It was free so why not. However the plumber took 3 days to clean the pipes and did not replace the toilet or the Hot water tank. He did break the pipe under the kitchen sink when he was cleaning the sink, took him 2 days to fix that and now only one side of the sink works the other side when you run water goes all over the floor. He went up on the roof to clean the main line and all that black stuff came down into my toilet and he left with out cleaning it out. The city wants me to put application though to get free hot water tank and free toilet until they are oked I can not get back into my house they said. I got rid of the stuff that was in my back room and the carpet that was wet from where the water came in. There is bare hardwood floor now. I also painted the bathroom where the water came in (it need a paint job anyway) The city wants the blinds down and curtains up. I looked at thrift store and none to be found. I will have to try some of the stores and online to see if I can get some cheap ones. I like the cafe curtains the best. When the plumber came and was working on pipes he left that water in the cupboard under the sinks (both bathroom & kitchen it has made a mess) The plumber that the city was working with left the job a mess never cleaned up a thing.

I am fine feeling a bit down and haveing good days and bad days. Who would of thought at 74 years old I would be on the streets. My cats are fine some are little upset but they are excepting the outdoors.One kitten thinks she should come in at night then eat stay in for the night and then leave. I stll have 9 cats in the house and have to get rid of 5. So they will go out when it is nice. They are the young ones that do not know how to fend for themselves. My one young cat that I put outside decided to not shere his food with a skunk and got to close to the skunk, she did not get sprayed however the skunk did leave and he did eat his dinner.


To top everything off I did not make my morgage payment so the bank is upset sending me letters that they will foreclose on me. They are rude. I finally did talk to some one and they told me to put a little extra on each month payment and they will not foreclose. They like to upset people. I was only 26 days behind before they started calling my cell phone and sending me letters.

I am still hopeful that someday I will get back into my house, I still pay the water, electric, gas and mortgage on it. I just do not know it takes to get all the paper work done. The city says they are puting me a program that gives home owners up to $10.000 to do things in the house. Not sure what to think so we will see. I have heard bad things about this program but if they are going to pay for all new plumbing I am for it.

You need to see if your county/city has a Senior Citizen Advocate - or Social Worker to help you. Do you have "Meals on Wheels" there? If so, they might be able to tell you where to go to get some sort of help in doing all of the red tape, etc.

positive and motivated to me... It would be great if you had one person/advocate coordinating and monitoring the progress of the things that need to be done . I have a local disabled friend who also went thru the city for help with home damage and maintenance needs. She also had a lot of complaints about the shabby/unprofessional work that the guy did. I'm guessing the guys who do this kind of work for the city are not well compensated and therefore the job wouldn't appeal to someone who is well qualified to do good work....Try to stay positive. I'm a couple of yrs younger than you and am so impressed by your tone and attitude. Keep in mind that after all this is taken care of, you'll be better off and you will be avoiding future problems that hadn't occurred to you-- like mold issues. I think of you every day and wish you well.

I already running into some problems with the plumbers, they did not clean up after they pulled the stuff from the sewers pipes leading from house to sidewalk. I have to go out and pick all that stuff up some looks like ???, but I will get it cleaned up. THe other problem thay had have there boss tell them how to put the coil/snake down the pipes to cleand them, and dwhen they did they broke one of the pipes. THey left with sludge going into the toilet, half a sink not draining (it not drains on to the floor). I am thinking about them bidding on putting a new toilet and hot water tank in. I am hoping that they do not get the bid. I had to call their office for them to come back and get the stuff the plumbers left behind. It took them 3 days to do a days work.

I am now painting the livingroom and it will need 2 coats as the color of it was nutmag and I am now painting it almond. Not sure what to do about the bedroom as the previous owner painted it bright yellow and not to many colors will cover it. The woman at the hardware store told me to put it off as long as I could as it will be the hardest to do.

I just wish I could live in my house, I get something started the have to stop and leave. I also wish I could get a good night sleep not wake up every hour. But those times will come soon I hope. The hard thing is that I have to pay for all the paint and brushes, which means a bill does not get paid. If I had the money I would of done it. But as many know SS does not go far.

Everytime I go to the hardware store I go pass the fresh pizza and I got to stop and get a piece. They are closing long Johns Fish place and opening up a dunkin donut place. I do not eat donuts, but I do wish the fish place would stay.

I have three rooms painted and only three to go.

to cover the bright yellow try this. it might be a bit pricey but get KILZ primer. it is a better paint and should cover most anything. wish i could help but maybe just maybe i can. have a great day.
