Got a pkg of large button mushrom were on sale for 1.99 so bought them. Since there is ony me do not want them to go bad. Do I have to fry them first or just wash and put in freeser?

"Mushrooms are mostly water and if you freeze them raw, they tend to become mushy. This consistency works okay in soups, casseroles, and stews, but it's not the best result. If you prepare the mushrooms first, by steam blanching or sautéing, you'll be able to use those mushrooms in more ways."

Pizzas have them on so I figured you could do it.

I will try and steam them first. I Love mushrooms and hate to see them go to waste.

Have a great day

always saute first and then freeze. Nice to have mushrooms
ready for an omelet or pizza.

Quick meal, English muffin pizza made in the toaster oven!
