I have tried to use two cvs gift cards in the last two days that I have Recd in swaps or have bought on this board. When I went to use them they had no value on them. I actually pulled the cards off the gift card thing. Code wasn't scratched off. When I Recd them amount was written on card $25 on front. Cards apparently weren't activated or whatever. Very disappointed lesson learned. I will Check the balances of anymore cards I receive as soon as I get them from now on. I've Recd these in the last several months. I've been keeping them til this month because one of Haley's prescription isnt covered anymore. Went to use them and had no value. So just a word of advice if you buy any gift cards or receive them in swap etc be sure to check them as soon as you get them.

to have that person give you the numbers off the card and the phone number from back of card to call and confirm the balance. If they need to scratch the card to reveal the other info it shouldn't be a issue since they would be sending you the cards to use anyway (IF this trader is not being shady in the first place!). Something to think about...

The trader corrected the matter and there were times that the gift cards were for more than they were supposed to be but I ALWAYS iinformed them and sent the extra PayPal...I advised them that if it was happening to me it was probably happening with some of their other trades.....

I gave it to a friend whose husband worked at Petco. Well when he finally went to use it, Petco fired him because it was a card that was gotten fraudulently!!!! Among others they said. I felt and still feel just awful. He has applied everywhere with no luck. My friend sells things on eBay to pay the bills.

In memory of my beloved beautiful brother Sonny Sue after all the drama last weekend and now this ....omg stop you need to stop.........first off to all...It was I whom traded this g.card to her....Now for the record Sue complained to me at least 5 times she never got a gift card even after proving shipment with a tracking number. And each time I offered and did purchase another......And then there was another time with one of my surprise packages which she got a very nice box and a 5.00 bill I by accident wrote in my thank you card to her also included was a 10.00 g.card to McDonalds.....I had 12 people whom played they all received wonderful surprise boxes it was a simple error. I explained this to her many many times and she harped and harped over and over a g.card that was not supposed to be hers....I finally got so upset and said I was going to mail another 10.00 g.card however when she realized how silly and how upset I got she said forget it. Now with this Petco she emailed me many times telling me omg Catherine what am I going to do he has lost his job over and over and over. I cannot believe if he was such a excellent employee that he would lose his job over a 10.00 g.card.....I do not believe this story one bit. Finally I traded her 2 Mcdonalds G.cards a total cost to her was 12.00 to date she got the cards I never got my paypal and I asked and asked and she skipped over the emails ignoring my pleads and finally I just said to myself I am getting so upset over 12.00 let it go......So please for all the drama Suz...stop it....seriously...no more drama enough was enough last week.......Catherine

I have some I keep in my wallet (all are good, right amounts etc) I have some I put up for Christmas all are ok except one is not correct amount.I didn't check them before I put up. My bad I should have.

I haven't had any other issues as all trades were great.

YOU need to be sure who you are texting. You group text a few messages (this wasn't the first time and I mentioned it if you recall) In the text you complained about the train box Shelly sent, you called her a princess and said some really uncalled for things all because you were upset about a swap box.Do not try to say I am lying because I will send the texts to you and anyone else who would like to see them.

So now, yes you started this, yes it is drama toal BS

I am not defending anyone just stating facts.
Shelly and Catherin both treated you well.

Moral of the story...make sure you know who you are texting before you hit the send button.

This will be my last response to this nonsense. It clogs the boards and makes it no fun. So you have a great day.

whom earned his wings in heaven 10-26-65 5-4- Again I want no drama but sad to say you started all this on your own.....yes for people here whom are not familiar with the new train swap that Miss Sweet Shelly started ..Sue in fact begged Shelly to send to her first thinking perhaps what Shelly was going to send first would be grand and it was many lovely items.....however to Sue's disappointment the box she received from Shelly was not up to Sue's standards.....she was actually and truly upset she emailed me right away to say that the box was nothing special and that she called Shelly a smart cookie because the train comes to me then to Shelly.....Sue was indeed very very upset.......Then when I received the box and I wrote down what I was adding to the train swap wow Sue really got very upset....she made mention that Christmas was coming early for Shelly not her.....she also said how hard she has to work to make 25.00 by selling a box on the bargain forum....I said to her that was not nice the way you spoke about Shelly....we are all grown ups here please do not be jealous .....you get what you get and you do not get upset......and like Sheila I also have all the emails and texts to prove all the unkind words and now I find out she was jealous of me as well.....So very sad.........no peace here........

I don't care where you get a "gift card" ALWAYS, check the balance when you receive them. AND be sure to ask that person for the
CRT as well. That way BOTH people are covered!


It's just plain common sense. I am so sorry you had to go thru that, I would of been pissed! That $50,00 is alot of money to many of us
who live paycheck to paycheck!

Yes my fault. I should have checked them. But I put them up until time to use and that's what happened.
I'm not calling anyone out. I was just stating a point for everyone in the future to learn from my mistake.
When I received gift cards I just assume they are for the value stated on the card.
Lesson learned.

I have been on the boards a long time and this stuff is getting crazy..I usually stay out of the drama and keep quiet, but I cant on this one..
Shelly is one of the greatest people and friend I know...She is generous,loving,supportive and caring.Shelly has a heart of gold and will do anything and everything for anyone that needs help. So quit dragging her into the drama..She is a volunteer and does not get paid. Life is to short and precious,so stop all the hate,drama and fighting.
