I haven't been fortunate to do CVS since we moved almost a year ago, but I think the ECB's are based on the amount you spend before coupons.

4 . "Actually the Kraft deal is spend $20 and get $20 back.... it is NOT a refund check, it is on the bottom of your receipt and is like a catalina for $ off your next purchase. (M)"

They will NOT give you overage...so if your next trip in---when you are spending your ECB--- you only take $18 worth of stuff up to the register, you will lose the rest of the $20 (aka $2). Just be sure when using the ECB that you use the whole thing. :)

Also, my CVS will not take their $/$ coupons (like $2/$10) and then let me pay with ECB. They tried it as a store coupon...etc and no dice. :( So I had to pay the $18 OOP for my Kraft deal (used a 2/10)...instead of being able to use a $10 ECB to reduce it further.

Anyone else had the same problem? If not--how do the cashiers get the register to "take" the ECB???

I did the deal yesterday,
Used a $4/20 coupon
Used a $10 ECB
Used a $2.99 ECB
Used a $3.00 ECB

My mother did the deal too...
She used all ECB's.

No problems with using all those coupons on the Kraft stuff.

It is my understanding that the problem you had with the $2/10 coupon only happens with certain coupons from CVS. There's coupons you get at the end of your receipt and there's ones you print off of your computer and then there's coupons from differently booklets in CVS - some of the ones from the booklets are causing people problems when they use their ECBs afterwards.

This is, I guess, a glitch in their system. It doesn't always happen though. I've used their $2/10, $5/50, etc. coupons and then used ECBs before without any problem.

If you give them the ECB first you won't have this problem, but then you run into another problem - if the ECB brings the total down below the amount allowed by the other coupon (the $2/10), then they can't take that coupon.

Hope this (kind of) helps you.

Lauren
