Last night while internet shopping on Amazon I got a credit card offer and free $30.00 for signing up for amazon credit card. They give you the 30.00 credit immediately and everything I read did not say you had to do anything special excpet qualify for the card to ge the free $30.00. So I signed up, got instant approval and $30.00 to shop with. I don't hink the credit can be used on toys but it works on books and videos...and if you buy over $25.00 you get free shipping as well.

On Amazon.com the Black & Decker Jar Lid Removal Machine (not sure of the actual name of the product, but I'm sure you know what I am referring to) are on sale for $24.99, so I purchased two - my total was $49.98 so I qualified for free shipping (anything over $25.00) and then I applied for the Amazon VISA and they took $30.00 off my order. So I got TWO of the Black & Decker items for $19.98 - better than a BOGO. I received both items yesterday, less than a week after I ordered them.

Everytime you open a credit card it puts a hit on your credit report which can lower your credit score. If you are looking at applying for a mortgage or car loan this is somthing the financial institution would look at. The more hits on your credit the worse it looks to your lenders.
I just wanted everyone to know because a lot of people especially younger people have no idea how credit effects everything.
(my husband use to sign up for stuff all the time to get the free item, I never did, my credit score was always better than his so when we first got married we applied for everything in my name because my score was higher.)
Anyway I just thought I would pass this along.
