We have a daughter and 2 granddaughters who were waitresses while they were students in HS and college. They sometimes got next to nothing for tips but sometimes got very nice tips from people. They appreciated the tips because a waitress salary is low. Many restaurants now suggest tips on the printed bill. We used to tip 15% till a few yrs ago - Then it went to 20% - Some restaurants ow give you a choice of 18 20 and I have even seen a 25% tip on the rcts. If we know the waiter or waitress is going to school we usually help out and tip more because my husband and I know how hard we both worked (he at 2 jobs and me a one job while students. We also gauge the tipping on the courtesy and service we gwt from the person. It comes back to us in places we return to. Lately w the virus we have not been out and had to have Walgreen's deliver our meds. I gave the person $2.00 each time he came. I ALSO tip when I go to the beauty salon - 20%.

if the waitress, waiter etc are good and courteous
and bring the food still hot etc. we tip 20%

When you order take out and someone brings the bag to your car, do you tip? How much? I always tip 20% for a sit down meal but I’m never sure what % for carry out or if I even need to???
I love my computer because my friends live in it.
