I'm not new to RS, but I am new to swaps. Wondering if it's something I may be interested in. Please don't get frustrated if I ask to many questions. LOL

Thanks,
Teshia

For the Monthly swaps (hosted by Shelly (shellysmsmo):
You need to have recent good feedback (of at least 5) on RS.
You have to be able to send a goody box/envie worth between $20-$25 (NOT including shipping) on or before the deadline.
You post a wish list of items (at least 10+) you would like to receive.
You look at other people's wish lists, note at least 3 (more is better) names of people who you could send to, and email those names (your 'picks') to the host.
The host then makes the matches and posts them.
You then contact your match to get their mailing addy.
Then you shop/pack/and mail out your goodies to your partner in a timely manner.
Include delivery confirmation.

It is courteous to post when you receive your swap.
It is also nice to say thanks and leave feedback.

You have to sit out of the swaps if:
- You don't send a swap to your partner (match).
- The majority of the items you send are not on your partner's wish list.
- You send a swap with a value less than $20.

Try to work it out with your partner as best as you can before bringing up any issues to the host.

Of course, things come up, life happens, but please plan ahead as best as you can if you wish to join.

This is a fun and friendly swap! I have met many nice people through it.

****for the PIB, PIF and ROAK:

PIB means "Pay it Back".

To participate, choose an item from the person's wish (ISO=in search of) list to "gift" ,
then post at least 5 items you would like to receive, for the next person to choose from, to "gift" to you.

Then e-mail the person you are sending a gift to,
and get their name and mailing address to send their PIB item.

If you are on a "bad trader" list, you can not participate.
You must have at least 5 current positive feedbacks to participate.
Please send the item in a timely manner (within 3 days).
Please leave feedback when you receive your PIB.
----

PIF means "Pay it Forward".

To participate, "claim" an item from the person's list,
then post at least 5 items you can 'offer' for the next person to "claim".

Then e-mail the person you "claimed" from,
and give them your name and mailing address to receive your PIF item.

You must have at least 5 current positive feedbacks to participate.
Please send the item you offer in a timely manner (within 3 days).
Please leave feedback when you receive your PIF.
----
RAOK means "Randon Act of Kindness".

To participate, you "claim" the RAOK a person is offering,
and then offer a RAOK to be claimed by the next person.
You e-mail the person offering the RAOK.
This is a surprise...you don't know what you are receiving.
People usually offer a mixture of items listed in the PIBs and PIFs.
You must have at least 5 current positive feedbacks to participate.
Please send the item you offer in a timely manner (within 3 days).
Please leave feedback when you receive your RAOK.
