"Need acne advise..."

I don't have bad acne. Just every once in a while a flair up. That time of the month, etc. Anyway. I have tried different cleansers, etc in the past. I was wondering if anyone had a "good" one to recommend. I have used Proactive and liked how that worked. But I would like to find something that works as well, but is more over the counter and less expensive. Any advise is appreciated.

2 . "Retin-A worked great for me for a while."

I used it about 10 years and it worked great, but I tried it recently and it didnt seem to help as much. I now have Evoclin, which is new...and expensive, lol. Luckily, my insurance covered both the Retin-A and Evoclin, but if you dont have ins, it's pricey. The Evoclin seems to help, but it seems to help the symptoms, not the problem. Meaning, the dr said I could use it twice a day. I use it in the morning and it keeps me from breaking out during the day, but I will be broke out by bedtime. I have to apply it again at bedtime. Retin-A was more "long term" than the Evoclin is or seems to be.

Do you wash it off? leave it on? I guess it would work like an astringent.

with plain soap & water & if I have an occasional flare up of one I dab on Murad to spot treat. Takes it right away. My 14 1/2 yr old son has stage 3 acne right around his chin area & my aunt told us about a natural formula of pills & spot treatment found at Walgreens can't remember exact name but something like Natures Cure. It is found by the other acne meds. Not sure if this is just for major outbreaks or if it can be used for less cases.

You may have to try an actual topical prescription cream. That usually takes care of the problem.

Please leave me (good) feedback if we have traded. If you are unhappy with me, please let's try to fix the problem.

Hurray for renewable energy!!

10 . "Some info on Natures Cure"

I am 32 years old and have been using Natures Cure for years now. My son is 12 and I can already see he will have skin like mine ( oily and breakouts daily) so he is now on it. It's a great all natural way to keep acne under control. Now I do have outbreaks but nothing like when I don't take it. I have really bad outbreaks that time of the month and if I'm not on Nature's Cure then my face will just look awful. One thing is you do have to continue to take it. It takes about 2 weeks of taking it day and night for you to see a difference. If you forget a night or day here and there that is fine but I wouldn't do it too much. Also, let's say you run out and wait 2 or 3 days to go to the store and get another package well your gonna have to give it the old 2 weeks to get it going again in your system. I try really hard to put the item on my shopping list when I'm down to only 5 day supply left. Here it's about $9 and always comes with something free. Last time it was lip glass and this time it was a full size bottle of the Nature's Cure spray for back acne. Just thought I'd share the info. If anyone has questions feel free to email me.

What do you do with the product? Does it dry out the skin?

12 . "It's a pill"

It's a pill you take morning and night. I try and take them exactly 12 hours apart. I take mine 7am and 7pm. Your suppose to let them dissolve in your mouth but it takes a bit so I just crunch it with my teeth and let it dissolve. Taste ok too. The box comes with a 30 day supply of pills and a tube of cream. You use the cream for breakouts. I do use it now and then when I have a bad one but only use a tiny bit. With those other creams that you use for breakouts that have alot of that acid I tend to get that dryed out peel look. This cream is natural but does still dry you out if you use too much. A tiny dot rubbed in does it for me. If you do a search online for Nature's Cure they have a website.
