We are having my sons 11th birthday party next weekend and after umpteen parties between 3 children, lol, I am bored with the same old food and drink ideas. We are having it out in our backyard so the kids can swim, so it doesn't matter how messy the get, etc. There will probably be just as many adults as there will kids and I feel like I have served the same things over and over again, lol. Anyone have any good ideas or recipes I can use?

TIA for your help!! :)

She loves everything Egypt, so we have games, food (fruits and cake), blue kool aid (we're calling it Nile River Juice, and crafts. Should be interesting.

I did this for my son's fear factor party

made miniature cakes, placed really looking worms (gummies) poking through with dabbles of blood (for the blood, used pudding mix and put in some red food coloring, kinda dripped around the plate, etc)

got some gummy "Bugs" and used them in games like for bobbimg, sticking hands in to get stuff out, etc. Also, used left over Halloween spiders and a fan, set the fan to blow and make the spiders look as if they are moving.....

we did a treasure hunt too, except you had to do something nasty or gross in order to get to the clue and move on........

We also put a bunch of "real looking" snakes, reptiles and bugs" around the scene to make it a little more gorry.

There's great stuff you can do along these lines.

Here's where I check out my ideas, check it out: www.birthdayideas.com

I'm still not sure which theme I'm using as of this minute; I told my son he had to let me know this morning so I can start shopping. He didn't like the Fear Factor idea as much as I did, lol. Now he wants everything to do with Wrestling, lol, so I guess we will see........ Thanks again for all of your help!!

set them in jello( real cheap) then they had to see how many they could get out with their teeth I know it was messy but they loved it the winner was the person with the most fish at the end
