1 . "try sprinkling baking soda on it. let it sit for 10-15 minutes and then wipe up with a towel that has a small but if vinegar."

You will have to spot clean it with a soapy rag for the smell, but the yucky baby spit up smell will be gone and it won't stain the carpet.

I love the smell, and it removes poopy odors & stains, so I'm sure it will work on vomit.

Like the plain white kind that a husband would use...Seriously I found it in an old book on home remedy stuff...I use it to get stains out of the carpet too..(it does not harm the carpet in any way)and smells wonderful afterwards.Put a small ammount over the area and gently wipe/pat into the carpeting.HTH

Suck it up! I mean it seems to me your just rubbing it deeper into the carpet. LOL, I could live without my steamcleaner ..or should I say steam cleaners. Have 2 uprights for larger areas and a portable handheld for accidents such as this.
